She is normally seen teetering around the stage or walking the red carpet in sky high heels.

But it appears that Cheryl Cole has decided to give her tootsies some tender loving care recently.

The singer, 28, swapped her Charlotte Olympias for a pair of fluffy slippers as she made her way through the airport in Newcastle.

Cheryl’s stylist Lisa Laudat tweeted a snap of the star strutting on her way to the plane home.

She posted: ‘TRAINERS at the Eiffel tower and now SLIPPERS in the airport! What next?? ’

Cheryl replied: ‘Thats how I roll’ (sic)

The Call My Name singer then tweeted a close up snap of her casual footwear.

She posted: ‘@lisalaudat1 don’t hate because you’re in high heels and your feet are hurting #AirplaneStyling’.

The black thong slippers boasted a small pink bow on one side and Cheryl showed off a hot pink pedicure.

Cheryl has spent the past few days in her hometown of Newcastle.

And it appears it is good to be home with Cheryl tweeting: ‘Thanks you so much for an Amazing Welcome home !! I loved meeting you all!! Can’t wait to see you on tour. #Geordieland !! X’

But not, perhaps, Liquorice Allsorts, as Cheryl Cole seemed to think on her latest visit to the States.

Wearing a brash ensemble of a black and white striped jumpsuit, teamed with a bright pink blazer and pink sandals, the singer drew comparisons to the sweet brand’s mascot Bertie Bassett.

Mrs Cole’s attempt to break America failed miserably last year when Simon Cowell dumped her  as a judge from the U.S. version of The X Factor.

Cheryl has shot the video for her new single, Call My Name, and we have to say she is looking hotter than ever.

We didn’t think it’d be possible for Cheryl to look more gorgeous, but the sneaky pictures that her PA has tweeted of the shoot have sent us girl crushing all over the place.

In one shot, Cheryl’s wearing a brightly patterned blazer and bright orange and pink shoes. Can we just take a moment to admire her legs? Seriously, we haven’t seen pins that good for a very long time.

In another snap Cheryl’s had a quick costume change and is wearing patterned trousers, a yellow crop top and a leather jacket, with her hair swept up in a ponytail.

We’re loving Cheryl’s new hair – the colour and length is a classic ‘Because you’re worth it’ style.

The Fight For This Love singer has been very quiet recently, recording her new album in America.

Rumours have been circulating for weeks that she’s to perform her new single on The Voice, where her pal and manager will.i.am is a mentor.

And after Cheryl tweeted that the video had wrapped, we’re now more excited than ever to hear the song.

She said: “Its a WRAP!! How d’ya think I feel when you Call My Name ??. #saymynamebaby.”

Something tells us Chezza is well and truly back.

She says she won’t ever return to the X Factor but Cheryl Cole certainly had plenty of that special something when she made an appearance at a charity event tonight.

The singer, 28, sashayed into the Prince’s Trust Invest In Futures dinner at the Savoy Hotel wearing a floor-length Grecian-style white dress.

Cheryl was positively glowing as she made her way into the event, flashing a big smile before heading in to join the other famous faces inside the hotel.

Cheryl hemmed in the sleek number with a thin black belt, which she matched with a black clutch bag.
Her shoes, of course, were not visible underneath the long dress.

She carried a small black bag and accessorised the dress with a pair of beige heels.

But, although she wore a gorgeous dress, Danielle made a drastic faux pas covering her body with fake tan but apparently forgetting her face.

The resulting effect was a stark contrast between the colour of her pale face and her far darker body.

Cheryl today finally put a halt to reports that she would be returning to the X Factor when she took to her Twitter page to deny she was coming back.

And she asked everyone to get over it and move on.

The Girls Aloud star took to her page on the social networking site soon after it was reported that Louis Walsh said that he thought she might return to the talent show later this year.
